From our ancient to our modern history, we will forever follow the Black Coptic faith and the teaching of His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie 1st… Priest W.C. Kelly
His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie’s, Haile Selassie Jah Rastafari Royal Ethiopian Judah Coptic Church is indigenous to Jamaica with its faith dating back to the ancient history of Ethiopia, which is Africa’s oldest independent country and its second largest in terms of population. Ethiopia has a unique cultural heritage, being the home of one of the oldest Christian denominations and a monarchy that ended only in the coup of 1974.
It served as a symbol of African independence throughout the continent’s colonial period, and was a founder member of the United Nations and the African base for many international organizations. His Imperial Majesty Haile I Selassie’s, Haile Selassie Jah Rastafari Royal Ethiopian Judah Coptic Church is a member of the Council Of Churches in Jamaica. His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie 1st, instructed the church to continue following the Black Coptic faith, with an ecumenical outlook.
This faith is a founder member of the World Council of Churches in 1948. The church activities in Jamaica since 1912, identified the ancient faith of the people that were enslaved during Atlantic Slave Trade. It teaches the gospel not taught by a colonial faith and recognize the Holy Bible as the basic scripture. In 1966, the historic state visit of His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie 1st to Jamaica, provided the local acknowledgement of the faith of the Rastafarian community in the island. And in 2017, was incorporated by The Companies Office of Jamaica and ascended in the Jamaican Parliament to teach the gospel as taught to us by our ancient faith.

Our mission is to offer a place for Rastafarians to practice their faith. Our sanctuary is home to those who have been rejected because of their faith in Jamaica. REJCC is committed to each Rastafarian community and encourage group leadership and development for these communities. We at REJCC welcome you to join us in this momentous task and spiritual journey in our beautiful island home, Jamaica.
To create a community that would include, housing, schools, churches and medical centres for our members and the wider community. Building of these communities will involve the skills of our community and church members, giving a sense of pride with every progressive step we take.
To establish work programs for the community. Which would include farming and agriculture training, basic to advance literacy educational programs and skilled trades teachings.
Establishing a food bank with low prices that would generate a steady income for the farmers as well as to be affordable for the community to purchase healthy food and provisions
To outreach our REJCC program model into many communities around the world, that will embrace this model of living and caring for each other
